A Modern, Pool-Inspired Bat Mitzvah Invitation at The Park Hyatt, New York

When given the option to make a splash, we always dive right in! We love a good creative challenge, and this Ceci Couture project was no exception. Our #CeciMitzvah girl Sydney's love of swimming provided a refreshingly new creative commission. After our initial consultation, it became clear that the design goal was to capture Sydney's love of swimming in a sophisticated and elegant way.

We accomplished this by showcasing Ceci's original watercolor of ombre teal and blue tones on the back of the invitation, which created a nod to the blues and movement of water. Our custom logo design for Sydney is featured in the center over the watercolor, in teal, metallic foil stamping. On the invitation front, we played off the unique walls of the Park Hyatt, which evoked the look and feel of the mosaic tiles in a pool. We used this to create a unique tile pattern, which then became a pearl foil stamped border design for an incredibly subtle, shimmery texture. The entire invitation was finished off with a teal foil tinted edge and packaged within a matte, teal blue custom converted mailer with Ceci’s ombre watercolor as a chic envelope liner.

The sophisticated design of the invitation suite carried over to the event itself, and informed all of the design details and branded moments. The custom logo design Ceci New York created was used in multiple spots, from a projection on the dance floor and printed on custom throw pillows to the gifted tote bags to the gorgeous cake (designed to perfection by the one-and-only, Ron Ben-Israel!).
