What's black, white, and chic all over? PartySlate's Film-Noir inspired evening at Clinton Mercantile, the perfect way to kick off 2023 with the top-talent in the industry.
Our design team worked closely with the team at PartySlate and JesGORDON ProperFUN to ensure every little detail was just right, from the moment the guests received their digital save-the-date's to when they left with branded party favors. We drew inspiration from daring femme fatale, as well as the iconic visual elements seen repeated throughout most Film-Noir movies.
"Guests were invited to PartySlate’s first celebration of 2023 by a luxe digital invitation, custom-designed for the gathering by Ceci New York. The designer offered a nod to the gathering’s Film Noir theme with a chic black invitation featuring metallic elements that conjured the silver screen and smoke evocative of the tendrils rising from a femme fatale’s cigarette." - PartySlate
As guests entered the party, they were greeted with signage and backdrops displaying the same smokey tendrils seen on their digital save the date and invitation. A sleek and cohesive entrance is a must when setting the tone for the evening!
The installation of trickling lights and umbrellas made the room feel like a scene straight out of a movie, while displays around the room flickered between iconic film-noir scenes. The lighting played an intricate dance between dramatic and ambient, drawing your eye across the room in one dazzling sweep.
There's something special and memorable about an event that has a touch of event branding everywhere you look. Whether you're simply chatting with friends or forming new connections, the guests carried an acrylic stick in their drink, featuring elements from our invitation design. It's practical, chic, and elevated.
Signage is also an essential and powerful way to form a cohesive look for your event. Our team designed the film-noir signage for the creative partners serving fabulous fare for the evening, as well as the signage used to check guests in to the party. Each sign held it's own unique form, while highlighting the iconic smoke tendrils and block font. Even the license plate on the car backdrop exudes the same moody aesthetic.
The entertainment for the evening was phenomenal. Not only were their movements and stylistic expression eye-catching, but the way they embraced the animated dance floor beneath them was truly captivating. Before the opening number, guests were invited to dance atop the smoking dance floor. This immediately elevated the atmosphere, and the energy, providing the perfect setting to dance the night away.
One of our favorite designs to create were these branded umbrellas! They cleverly enhanced and formed a backdrop for the acknowledgements and toasts, giving the guests a non-verbal cue that the Creative Team had the floor.
