Not all destination wedding invitations have to feature palm trees, seashells or bright colors. When Ceci Bride Samantha came to Ceci New York she had a very specific color palette in mind. For her One&Only Ocean Club wedding in Paradise Island, Bahamas, we needed to track down the specific shade of paper in between taupe and gray. After Team Ceci searched high and low, we found the perfect stock and engraved it with hand calligraphed artwork in white ink. This paper, which felt like a shade of sand you'd find on a Bahamian beach, served as he foundation for the elegant yet modern invitation suite. It also happened to have the most unique texture with it's sandy feel. How apropos!
Complimenting the beautiful calligraphy is the custom designed couture monogram that sits atop the invitation card, printed with blind embossing. Samantha's Ceci New York monogram was also applied to the festivities and reply card as well as the welcome bags on the island.
One of the chicest touches of the entire suite is the vertically oriented custom converted mailing envelope made from a textured pearl white paper stock. Lining the envelope and serving as a backdrop for the special taupe/gray paper is the loveliest, subtle shimmer stock with notes of silver, gray and sand. Last but not least, guest names and addresses were classically hand calligraphed in an ink color matching to the special shade of paper this suite revolved around.
