A Vibrant Mexican Wedding At Casa Hyder In San Miguel de Allende

A Vibrant Mexican Wedding At Casa Hyder In San Miguel de Allende

This authentically charming wedding was decorated with all of the vibrant Mexican flair from it’s historic and colorful venue, Casa Hyder, in San Miguel de Allende. Our design team was especially excited to bring creative elements to the invitation suite and accessories by highlighting the visual splendor from the city’s architecture and art with a custom watercolor scene. This lively event included all of the playful colors and joyous energy from the culture that influenced it all.

The wedding weekend started with all of Jimena and Sammy's friends and family walking the streets of San Miguel de Allende in a tradition called a Callejoneada, which is a lively prelude to almost every wedding ceremony.  This traditional parade is when the wedding party walks the cobblestone streets with giant mojigangas - incredible papier-mâché puppets that are nearly 10 feet tall.  You'll also hear a mariachi band and find a burro, embellished with paper flowers and pulling a tequila cart for guests participating in the processional to indulge in!

The minute guests arrived at the ceremony, all attention went to the altar, set in front of the grand wooden doors as painted in our invitation design. Covered with lush white blooms and greenery, glass lanterns floated above and brought light to the open air space. #CeciBride Jimena walked down the aisle in an embroidered gown with multicolored flowers that cascaded down her arms and upon the bodice of the dress. Her long train and ethereal veil gracefully flowed behind her as the couple exchanged vows and guests cheered them on as newlyweds.

At the reception, guests visited amongst one another in breezy rooms on the casa’s colorful couches that were printed with botanical patterns and bright florals. A live band played while Mexican margaritas were served and the couple entered, ready to get the party started. In an intimate courtyard, long tables created a square around the center table at which the bride and groom sat. Decorated with silver mirror table runners and mercury glass accessories, each table glimmered along with the calm white candles that sprinkled the centerpieces. Lush white flowers burst among the table settings that complimented the natural textures of the rich wooden table and glass finishes. Our floral watercolor menu with bold tones of magenta and Royal blue brought life to the garden and reflected the same Moravian star lanterns that hung above. Our bold custom monogram drew eyes to the dance floor where guests danced the night away with sparklers and shine.

See how our designs can be incorporated into any event detail! Here, #CeciGroom Sammy shows off his wedding shoes complete with our custom star monogram.
