Inspired by the couple's honeymoon trip to Bali, this invitation suite was designed around the beautiful intricate sculptures, art and people of the culture. The invitation is found inside a laser cut sleeve which depicts traditional Balinese temple doors. The invitation pulls out to reveal a laser cut bellyband of kissing elephants and tropical leaves. Influenced by the carved stone of Balinese architecture, the theme is brought to life in bright lime and deep chocolate hand illustrations. Wedding day accessories carried the theme home with drink umbrellas with dancing elephants and dragon gift tags to pass along the guardian spirit to their guests.
Invitation card and reply card is two color letterpress printed on ultra thick shimmer stock. Mailer and reply envelope is one color letterpress. White hand calligraphy is shown on the mailer envelope. Bellyband is laser cut with hot pink stock and slides over the invitation card. Invitation slides into laser cut sleeve made of chocolate brown shimmer stock. Umbrellas, thank you note and tag are digitally printed.
